Never mind, just now I got this bug even with 5 ketamine portions. 

You need to have no more than 5 ketamine portions on you before talking to Squidward (less may be good, I don't know). I'm not sure whether it matters if you take the one that's next to him, but from my experience whenever I've had more than those 5 portions from Patrick I just couldn't talk to him.

I haven't found any other way to fix it, but it's not that inconvenient, you just press Ctrl + Shift before you start playing and none of the other keys you use in the game is keyboard layout dependent so it doesn't really matter.

Change your keyboard layout to US, then use the 1 key above your Q key.

I found a way to fix it. I was using a non-US keyboard layout, so all I had to do was switch from my layout to the US layout and now the "1" key above my "Q" key activates the ketamine. The game doesn't have that many keys so I don't see the point in putting such an important function on a key that changes its output from layout to layout. As for Dylan96, I'd happily bet all my life savings on your computer not being even half as powerful as mine.

I didn't. It's pretty frustrating, kind of pointless to play a game called Mr. Krabs Overdoses On Ketamine when you can't even consume the Ketamine.

How do I consume Ketamine? Instructions say press 1, I'm pressing it and nothing is happening. My num lock is turned on.
